A Multi-talented Multi-media Communications Specialist

I am a communications specialist, freelance writer for a range of content and promotional collateral, and an award-winning video writer/producer. I’m always looking for the next challenge, whether it’s crafting a strategic communications plan to help an organization reach its goals, or finding the information, photos, graphic images, and interviews to produce a compelling article or video that tells a story.

I was a reporter/anchor for more than twenty years in radio and television news, a career which took me from the Northeastern US to the Midwest, to Florida to cover NASA and the space shuttle program, and finally landing in Philadelphia, winning Emmys and other awards along the way.

Then I was fortunate to connect with the Student Voices and Annenberg Classroom civic education programs at the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania. I produced informational and documentary-style videos, was communications consultant to a dozen Student Voices projects across the country, and led the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Student Voices programs, working with hundreds of dedicated teachers and thousands of inspiring students.

I’ve also worked with many nonprofits, have done internal communications for a major pharmaceutical company, and provided communications consulting and video production services for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and AARP. My videos for RWJF and AARP have won several Telly awards, and through my work there, I have met some of the most committed nurses, physicians, academicians, communications experts, and other tireless champions working to ensure that everyone has access to quality health care.

If I can help you with a specific project, please call or email me.
