I am a creative person. For most of my life I have been taking photographs and writing fiction and nonfiction. As a reporter or producer, I could think of images or graphic ideas for my videos or other creative endeavors, but I can't draw very well so I could not transform those ideas into usable images. Enter the wonderful world of design software! Several years ago I enrolled in the Print Design Certificate program at The University of the Arts and received my certificate in 2007. I had so much fun and learned so much that I followed up with the Web Design Certificate from UARTS, which I received in 2008.
I still can't draw very well, but I can and do use Adobe's wealth of software to work with my photographs, words and even once in a while venture beyond safe shores — to draw my own images! Now I am a newbie animator with Flash and After Effects.

In terms of desigining and managing websites, I designed and coded this website, my second iteration of Boulden MultiMedia, using XHTML, CSS and JAVA. Another website I designed and coded can be viewed here.
